Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to join the Autonomous Maritime Undersea team located in Herndon, VA (virtual).

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.

The successful candidate will have strong ability to design and write clean code, and utilize best practices that lead to extensible and scalable implementations.

The position demands an ongoing focus on driving quality and continuous improvement through the use of modern technologies and best practices.

The role is part of the Maritime Undersea organization supporting national security missions for many Department of Defense and Intelligence Community agencies.

In this role you will develop software following industry best practices, maintaining architectures, requirements, interfaces and design for seamless integration, while providing technical support and problem resolution to existing development infrastructure.

You will operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and you must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a self-organizing agile development team.

Primary Responsibilities:Engage is software design, implementation, test, and maintenance activitiesSoftware development in C++ using secure coding principlesPromote and implement software engineering principles and best practices for the full software development life cycle; including coding standards, code reviews, source controlPerform unit and regression testing on software baselineWrite and trouble shoot SE Linux policy including maintenanceParticipate in agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement *This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Herndon, VA or Huntington Beach, CA.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel: 10-20% Relocation: This position doesnt offer relocation.
