The program within the agency is the go-to-platform for the ingestion and surfacing of data within the agency.
Its core mission is to provide an analytics and visualization platform for corporate business data sets such as Information Technology, Cyber, Security, Financial, Contract, Customer Feedback, and Mission Management Activity.
Ultimately this team will provide the Agency with the capability for a centralized authoritative data repository, refreshed automatically, from source systems of record and transaction databases along with a range of visualization tools for reporting and delivery to end-users.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Supports data ingest or report generation from the enterprise data warehouse.
Performs tasks from connectivity to source systems, developing data ingests, optimizing tables and indexes, and writing T-SQL queries to retrieve data from the data warehouse.
Writes well designed, testable, efficient code.
You will be an instrumental part of our team helping and enabling our other Developers through identifying and improving inefficient queries (Cartesian joins/cross joins, looping, nested subqueries, etc.).
Clearance Required: TS/SCI Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 3 years of development experience Desired Certifications: Data Vault 2.0 Required Skills: Extensive experience in building data integration pipelines performing the automated ingest of data from multiple data sources database (Oracle, SQL, Informix, MsSQL, Postgres).
Hands on experience in relational database programming in Microsoft SQL server, writing T-SQL, including complex stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
Provide database design and research and recommend optimal schema, table, and index design criteria balancing scalability, data integrity, and maintainability; publish entity-relationship and data flow diagrams, design standards and work with development staff; standardize environment and improve efficiency.
Proficient writing and tuning complex SQL statements, joins, and subqueries.
Experience Creating and Optimizing Database Queries, Indexes, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers.
Programming / code development use of programming and code to automate data ingest functions for the extract and load of data using Visual Studio, C#, Python, etc.
