Focused exclusively on emerging technologies, we get to solve complex problems that our customers are often facing for the first time.

Cloud Evangelists are uniquely focused on facilitating early-stage cloud discussions, generating new cloud opportunities with new and existing customers, creating and delivering leading-edge cloud feature workshops, as well as authoring cloud focused whitepapers.

This position combines cloud strategy, consulting, and technical application to secure new cloud business opportunities in close partnership with the sales teams and other cloud team Pre-sales Solution Architects.

What You’ll Do:

AWS Cloud Evangelism

Communicate value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients, including executive ”C” level management, VP, and Director levels, and end-users

Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in client organizations

Provide consultative support to the sales team by uncovering and capitalizing on cloud sales opportunities

Understand the client’s technology environment and whiteboard solutions in an articulate way that flows and illustrate the purpose

Translate business requirements into

Collaborate with Sales and Account Management team to develop sales playbooks outlining strategies for driving high value into strategic accounts

Contribute to the development of internal best practices as well as new innovative consulting services offerings that we can take to market

Contribute to presence and brand in the Cloud community

Lead early-stage cloud discussions to help identify customer interest in cloud solutions

Generate cloud opportunities with new and existing customers

Provide high-level expertise on cloud operational models and strategic roadmaps

Create and deliver customer workshops focused on leading-edge/innovative cloud features

Document and cross-train other pre-sales cloud solution architects on workshop content and delivery

Author cloud-focused whitepapers

Qualifications & Interests:

Experience selling, consulting of AWS, working with AWS account teams

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience

Minimum of 10+ years of experience with public, private and hybrid cloud architectures

Experience across domains of datacenter technologies at the architecture and operational level (e.g.

virtualization, compute, databases, networking, storage)

Experience working for a technology or consulting company with a focus on Amazon Web Services

Minimum of basic level of certification in AWS (Associate Level SA or SysOps), Professional or Specialty Cert preferred

Strong expertise in designing and presenting enterprise technology solutions

Expert AWS knowledge across core concepts such as VPC, Landing Zone, Networking and security primitives (e.g.

Network ACLs, Security Groups & firewalls, Internet and NAT Gateways)

Strong AWS knowledge across concepts such as GuardDuty, SecurityHub, Inspector, Macie, CloudTrails, CloudWatch, CloudWatch Events, AWS Config, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS/Secrets Manager, Lambda, Code Pipeline, CloudFormation

Familiarity with governance frameworks (e.g.

NIST, CIS, HIPAA, etc) and how they natively map to AWS capability is a plus

Ability to mix deep technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story that is memorable, educational and useful

Must have a firm grasp on the industry and anticipate trends and movements while balancing maturity and timing

Motivated self-starter who loves to solve challenging problems and feels comfortable working directly with customers

Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment

Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
