The SMB Marketplace Optimization Fulfillment team’s primary objective is to maximize the Employer’s value by optimizing their spending within Indeed to deliver on their hiring objectives. This way, we help people get jobs by delivering value per dollar spent to employers. Our team of world-class engineers builds the core platform capabilities, algorithms, and models to deliver the right jobs to the right job seekers at Indeed, Glassdoor, and other job sites.

Responsibilities:

Use your expertise to help build technical solutions to problems like forecasting, prediction, ranking, and pricing, among other challenges to improve Indeed’s marketplace.
Experiment and build systems that help employers find the best candidates and help job seekers find their dream jobs.
Have ownership over the things you build. Help shape the product, technical vision, direction, and how we iterate.
Work closely with multiple teams to improve the highest-trafficked parts of Indeed, including the homepage and job search.
Work closely with the product managers and stakeholders so that they can leverage your work into new products and systems.
Work closely with a world-class team of software engineers and data scientists, solving fundamental problems in the Ads space.

Who You Are

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years of experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript, Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl;

OR

MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related computer technical field with 3+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl.

AND

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in back-end engineering, including experience working on at least one public-facing product with a global presence and significant traffic.
Experience developing Java APIs.
Significant experience with large-scale, high-performance systems.
Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Experience in making data-driven decisions for improving products.
Passionate about your work and the problems you solve.
Passion for collaboration and making others around you successful.
Strong sense of ownership in everything you build.
Experience in making data-driven decisions for improving products.
Passionate about using big data and machine learning technologies to solve challenging problems in advertising.
Experience in ranking systems, recommendation systems, pricing and revenue management platforms, or other machine learning-based software platforms is a plus.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 127,000 – 183,000 USD per year

NYC Metro Area 159,000 – 231,000 USD per year

Seattle 158,000 – 230,000 USD per year
