Averosoft Inc.: Vmware & Cloud Engineer

Essential Responsibilities The core responsibility is to plan, develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions.

Must proactively optimize network hardware and software to enable VMWare integration.

Expected to continuously seek out opportunities to drive operational improvement and productivity, and close performance gaps while meeting established goals.

Acts as a champion for change within the department, offering new ideas and continuously developing knowledge and processes to improve the customer experience and team member engagement.

Responsible to develop and deploy customized VMWare solutions while defining multiple virtual servers on a single host machine.

Will virtualize Windows servers and connect to networks and clouds.

Will design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enable template management.

Responsible for installing operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.

Troubleshoot and resolve VMWare environment issues while providing technical support and documenting VMWare process.

Collaborate with product architects to ensure alignment with their roadmaps and data requirements.

Provide technical solutions that shape the team backlog that includes listening to and interacting with product specialists, product architects, site reliability engineers, leadership teams, product owners, and product teams.

Will educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.

Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.

Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with Premier America’s security policies and best practices in cloud security.

Work with product teams to help solve real world problems and operational concerns while defining milestones to ensure fit for purpose delivery solutions.

Will build and support database infrastructure that confirms to industry standards.

Ensure the infrastructure operates in a cost-effective manner.

Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available.

Responsible for incident management while alerting of anomalous detection of behaviors.

Qualifications Required EducationSkills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related technical field Three years of progressive experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms Five years of progressive experience as a VMWare Specialist with extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies Must have hands on knowledge of cluster managers Experience in implementing applications for internet related cloud technologies.

Understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking, massive data storage, Hadoop, MapReduce, and security.

Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize effectively, working in a fast-paced environment Strong oral and written communication skills Proficient with Windows Server (200820122016R22019) and (Azure and In-house) Active Directory.
