This is an exempt non-supervisory full-time position.Primary Responsibilities:Transform advanced signal and image processing algorithms from higher level languages (e.G., python) into robust and efficient software suitable for operational usePractice sound software process methods to design, develop, analyze, and test software applications from prototype to operations using modern software development languages and practicesAssess algorithm performance on real-world dataDocument results via written reports and/or well-commented codeAdditional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer scienceAlternatively, a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in the physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics with demonstrated software development experienceProficiency in C/C++ and/or PythonExperience developing software for a Linux environmentProven capability in software architecture and design with emphasis upon modular, maintainable, and extensible software designs and frameworksCapacity to work in a team with minimal supervision and agility to work multiple potentially disparate projects simultaneouslyU.S.
Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearancePreferred Qualifications & Experience:An active security clearanceExperience in cloud computing and/or developing cloud applicationsGUI development experienceExperience in software testing and quality assuranceProficiency in object-oriented analysis and designProficiency in High Performance Computing techniques such as: multithreaded programming, inter-process communication, GPU programming / CUDA, and coprocessor programmingAbility to present technical results to customers and at technical review meetingsExperience with Agile development methods utilizing Atlassian tools: Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRAAreté offers an excellent compensation and a full benefits package.
