About the opportunity

We are hiring our first-ever University Recruiter to strategize, execute, and build on our campus recruiting strategy!

The University Recruiter will own all campus hiring for non-technical roles (Sales, Account Management, Finance, Marketing, etc.) and will be responsible for establishing and growing partnerships to support long-term hiring goals for their assigned teams.

This hire will be the subject matter expert on all things collegiate candidate attraction, and will strategize and execute on effective ways to connect with both traditional and non-traditional entry-level talent populations.

The University Recruiter will report directly to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and location is flexible. 

What you’ll do

  • Full-cycle recruiting: own end-to-end university and early-career recruiting for corporate hiring needs, delivering against hyper-scale hiring needs within a fast-paced environment 
  • Event planning : identify career fairs and other in-person and virtual opportunities to engage with candidates; travel to events as needed 
  • Candidate management : collaborate effectively with the Talent, People, and IT teams to deliver a positive and efficient candidate experience from first point of contact to a candidate’s start date
  • Stakeholder partnerships: keep in close alignment with business leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and goals, and to develop, implement, and execute a custom university hiring strategy
  • Employer brand: promote the Ontra culture, working collaboratively with the Talent and Marketing teams to craft messaging that is most effective for the target audience 
  • DE&I: leverage recruiting best practices to ensure a diverse pipeline of candidates in every hiring process; support Talent and company-wide initiatives to promote DE&I
  • Measurement & reporting: be nerdy about data; run reports, look at market trends, and otherwise approach recruiting with a data-centric, measurement-minded approach

What you’ll bring

  • Experience: at least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in campus or early career recruiting; experience in business development, career services, event planning, or recruitment coordination is a plus 
  • Tech Savvy: Experience working with and a desire to learn new recruiting technologies and tools (e.g., Greenhouse or similar ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, and GSuite) 
  • Communication: Ability to effectively connect, engage, and communicate with stakeholders across the business as well as candidates of all levels 
  • Creative: Ability to think strategically, intuitively solve problems, and adapt quickly to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • People-oriented: Excited about a role that’s all about connecting with others and building relationships throughout the hiring process
  • Competitive & goal-motivated: driven by deadlines and energized by meeting targets
