Social Media Specialist, Weddings

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position executes the social media marketing strategy for weddings.

This role suits a detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for hospitality.

The successful candidate is passionate about weddings and bridal experience and its importance to our company overall success.

You love writing copy, social media, motivating people, collaborating with other teams.

You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Global Director of Social Media on developing social media strategy.

Play a role defining the Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts social media strategy and take ownership executing the strategy with a strong focus on visual channels such as Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook.

Develop and manage the Social Media Calendar.

Develop, create, publish and schedule content to reach the target audience on all social platforms for weddings.

Capture and report on relevant performance metric for all channels (awareness, engagement, reach, site traffic, etc.) Work closely with our Creative team to provide insights on what performs on our social channels.

Travel frequently to destination to ensure alignment between hotels and corporate office.

Oversee all social media campaigns for the wedding channels from planning to execution.

Stay abreast of algorithmic changes and social platforms updates.

Manage creatives along with each required department (SSG, PR, Brand).

Create, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and narrates our story.

Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.

Work cross functionally with sales, marketing, PR to execute integrated marketing campaigns.

Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information.

Create content ideas that will resonate well on social media with brides and grooms.

Stay on top of wedding trends.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications include: A love and passion for all things weddings and bridal.

1-2 years experience on weddings.

Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

Demonstrate social networking experience and social analytics tool knowledge.

Social media copywriting experience.

Creative thinker with an innate visual aesthetic.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

EXPERIENCE: Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc.

in order to perform the role of Social Media Manager competently.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related degree.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years social media experience in a business environment.
