Description
Summary
The HR & Talent Manager will collaborate with the Director of Operations to set the vision and priorities for talent acquisition, talent development, and general HR practices.

The HR & Talent Manager will support with specific HR duties that include but are not limited to: ensuring all employees are compliant, leading our HRIS administration, and onboarding/offboarding.

He/she will lead our staff recruitment, selection, and on-boarding efforts.

He/she will research best practices and advise the school leadership on ways to foster a sustainable, joyful, effective work environment.

Reporting
The HR & Talent Manager reports to the Director of Operations
Job Expectations
The Talent Manager’s main responsibilities include:
General Responsibilities Identify school-wide needs and priorities, problem-solve school-wide issues, and provide a united front in communicating all TK-8 decisions Prepare for and attend weekly check-ins with the Director of Operations, and communicate proactively about issues between scheduled meetings Communicate proactively with all members of the team Complete other tasks as directed by the Director of Operations Human Resources Manage all aspects of Human Resources including new hire onboarding and maintaining employee records in compliance with all applicable laws and school policies Support with Paycom Support with maintaining ESSA Grid and notify staff, regarding expiring credentials and/or TB status Support with Open Enrollment, as needed, and any questions from staff regarding benefits Support with formal evaluations and appropriate document for all employees Working with other school leaders for documenting disciplinary action, improvement plans, and terminations Talent Acquisition Develop strong systems for increasing a high-quality applicant pool, screening candidates, and maintaining an up-to-date on-line tracking system Conduct and document thorough reference checks Coordinate with our Head of School and Director of Operations to make offers Ensure all necessary credentials are acquired prior to beginning the role Maintain proactive communication with new hires through their on-boarding Talent Development and Retention Use formal and informal tools to gather and analyze team feedback related to satisfaction and sustainability to share with leadership team and board Culture & Employee Engagement Create, organize, and implement strategies for employee engagement.

Partner with internal stakeholders to host monthly school-wide and departmental team-building opportunities.

Recommend activities, programs, and other ideas to increase joy, sustainability, and team spirit at Endeavor.

During Distance Learning: support with school-wide distribution events.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Head of School.

Job Location
The expectation during Distance Learning is for the HR & Talent Manager to work from home for 75% of the time and be school-based for the other 25%.

If and when Hybrid Learning takes place this school year, then this position will become 100% school-based.
Compensation
This position is 100% FTE (40 hours/week) with an hourly wage range of $22 to $25/hour.
