Resource Manager As Resource Manager, you are capable of managing resources across entire US team functions, you have a clear understanding of cross-functional agency deliverables, and you have in-depth knowledge of our clients’ businesses.
You possess advanced written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to recognize team members’ individual capacities and strengths.
The Resource Manager will provide support and guidance to every department, and act as the whole-picture-thinker and problem-solver.
This means you specialize in, and can help optimize, organizational workflow and project management against timelines and budgets.
This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Essential Functions: Help drive and advance resource management strategy, planning, allocation, and optimization activities across the agency Communication regularly with Optimist team members, particularly in the Account and Creative departments, in regards to projects, workflow, and other items Coordinating processes, planning and scheduling of internal workflows to improve efficiency Managing all projects on schedule until the final artwork is submitted for production Overseeing creative capacity across the agency, and issuing advance capacity warnings to relevant departments Assist in “forward planning” and analysis activities to stay ahead of current resource demand and plan for future company growth Identify and address key resource and skill gaps throughout the organization Develop improved process and automated workflows around resource management practices Monitor actuals vs.
plans for individual projects and operating activities Work with account teams to understand client engagements, providing input on development of scopes driving resource needs Devising and managing efficient project workflows in cases where deadlines are extended Maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing Decision maker relating to ongoing projects and scheduling, identifying the team’s needs Develop and track metrics relating to account and project management Serve in a mentor role to cross functional teams agency-wide Complete other duties as needed Job Qualifications: 4+ years of resource planning or project planning experience Bachelor’s Degree in related fields Strong analytical skills and an understanding of planning processes Comprehensive interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Understanding of and experience with budgets, timesheets, and time tracking Ability to identify and address issues proactively in a timely manner Effective time management in order to meet daily metrics or team objectives Ability to take initiative and work independently Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Google Suite WHO WE ARE Optimist is a collective of thinkers, makers, and doers who architect next level brand experiences.
