Resource Manager

We are looking for a highly organized professional with strong communication and management skills to join our Los Angeles-based team. The Resource Manager will work closely with the Operations team and Paint team to make sure we grow both the careers of our Painters as well as our production capacity.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly organized professional with strong communication and management skills to join our Los Angeles-based team. The Resource Manager will work closely with the Operations team and Paint team to make sure we grow both the careers of our Painters as well as our production capacity. Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, via Slack and text are a must. The ability to chart talent and employee progress is vital to maintaining deadlines and the growth and development of our Paint team. A firm but empathetic personality is key for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of advanced and expert painters by rank
  • Partner with Ops and Shop teams to oversee Paint team skill development and progress and policy adherence
  • Manage communications between Operations team and painters as needed
  • Manage and organize data, processes, and curriculum that serves the basis for decision-making, promotions, and hiring

Requirements:

The Basics:

  • 3-5+ years of experience managing data and information preferably in construction, hospitality, or other related industries
  • 2+ years of managing a team
  • Ability to manage people, processes, and resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in Google Suite and Excel, and building documents in google sheets.

  • Administrative and or people management experience in construction or a related field.
  • Art background with experience reviewing portfolios.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment for this position is from our Shop located in Los Angeles, CA
  • The physical demands for this position include occasional heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds), bending, pushing, reaching, seeing (with a focus on reading on and off computer and phone screens, color distinction, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting at a desk, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, and occasionally climbing.
  • Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 15%.
