*JOB SUMMARY:*
This position, reporting to the Human Resources Director, is a collaborative role at its core. The Sr. Recruiter is critical in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet our rapidly evolving staffing needs. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Sr. Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements, develop effective recruitment strategies, and streamline the hiring process. This ensures a seamless and positive candidate and hiring manager experience. This role requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills and frequently interacts with senior leadership. The successful candidate must work well independently and as part of a supportive team and have experience with full-cycle recruitment.
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates while advising managers.
* Performs various complex, and confidential clerical duties requiring knowledge of Human Resources and organizational policies and procedures.
* Responsible for full-cycle recruiting, and onboarding, while having knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
* Serve as primary point of contact for candidates through the recruitment process, providing timely communication and feedback.
* Continuously monitor recruitment metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, design plans around areas of opportunity and optimize recruitment processes.
* Create and manage external talent pipelines.
* Manages data quality of the applicant tracing system including updating candidate statuses, job statuses and requisition reporting.
* Create and maintain recruitment reports on the job and candidate status and send in completed reports to the Human Resources Director and C-suits on a weekly basis.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment databases.
* Present and manage all onboard training and paperwork.
* Manage the hiring cycle from recruitment to the first day of onboard training to those that are newly hired.
* Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately, such as reviewing the completeness of applications, background and drug screens are completed in addition to entering the information into the HRIS system so employees can access their fingerprints on the time clock.
* Work closely with HR, Payroll and Operations to coordinate pre-start activities (e.g. IT equipment etc.) and onboarding.
* Responsible for the process of creating employee files for onboarding.
* Conduct thorough pre-screening interviews and assess candidates to evaluate their skills, qualifications and culture fit for specific roles.
* Analyze recruitment trends and market data to identify areas of opportunity and proactively address potential challenges in talent acquisition.
* Coordinate and schedule interviews, assessments, and other stages of the hiring process promptly and efficiently with the hiring managers.
* Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices.
* Partner with the hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies tailored to each role and department.
* Coordinate, attend and facilitate recruitment events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to engage with prospective candidates and promote the company as an employer of choice.
* Implement employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns to enhance the company’s visibility and attract top talent.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies, staffing firms, universities, and partner organizations to leverage additional resources and networks for candidate sourcing.
* Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
* Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques, including online job boards, social media, networking, and referrals to attract and engage qualified candidates.
* Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
* Review and verify all new hire I-9 documents and forms to make sure Weingart is in compliance with federal labor laws.
* Review and assist in the process of agency billing.
* Ensure effective communication between the hiring managers and candidates throughout the interview process.
* Process candidates background checks and review the results accepting or declining a candidate for the position based on Weingart’s policies and procedures, in addition to ensuring company compliance as it relates to all applicable state and federal labor laws.
* Coordinate candidates drug screens with the clinic and review their results accepting or declining a candidate for the position based on Weingart’s policies, and procedures, in addition ensuring company compliance as it relates to all applicable state and federal labor laws.
* Coordinate and manage DMV/authorized driver pull notices for candidates that require a company vehicle.
* Manage and coordinate security clearance process for reentry candidates which include live scans as per our donors’ requirements.
* Coordinate, and review all candidates live scan results accepting or declining candidates for the position based on Weingart’s policies, procedures, and all applicable state and federal labor laws.
* Manage and coordinate EEOC reporting.
* Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
* Seeking someone with 7+ years of experience in recruiting.
* Proven experience as a recruiting specialist or similar role in a fast-paced environment, preferably within non-profit, or retail industry.
* Solid understanding of recruitment processes, techniques, and best practices.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
* Proficiency in applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment software/tools.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
* Commitment to upholding confidentiality, integrity and professionalism in all recruitment and candidate interactions.
* Perform administrative duties requiring independent judgment with speed and accuracy.
* Apply organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
* Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, complying with time restrictions and deadlines.
* Must have strong experience with Microsoft Windows applications (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook).
* Must have strong experience with recruiting software, Teams, and knowledge of Paychex systems.
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
* Must be able to exercise discretion and hold confidential of any business and personnel matters pertaining to the Weingart Center Association.
* Exhibits a professional manner when interfacing with professional staff, WCA visitors, contractors, vendors and programs and services providers.
* Sensitive to the needs of low income and homeless clients.
* Ability to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.

*LICENSES:*
* Up to 10-15% travel in which the Sr. Recruiter must possess a valid California motor vehicle operating license, registration, and insurance and be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of employment in the case of domestic travel during peak recruiting and program related activities to job fairs and/ or other job sites.
*PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
* Standing and sitting for long periods of time along with being able to move and walk to various locations, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, twisting, and lifting (20-25 lbs.).
* Ability to see, hear and talk clearly to receive instruction and to give instructions.
* Ability to operate a computer efficiently. Must be able to operate all types of office equipment.
