We take pride in being known in the industry as nimble, entrepreneurial and responsive.The Excess Casualty Team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a UnderwritingAssistant.Responsibilities include but not limited to:* Review and analyze incoming transactions and related information for completeness accuracy and quality.* Multi-line new business submissions, renewal submissions and endorsements processing including rating, policy construction and assembly in a timely and accurate manner.* Regularly reviews and adheres to department processing guidelines and procedures to ensure accuracy including recommended changes/enhancements.* Manage underwriting relationships with timely responses relative to service inquiries.* Maintain all correspondence activity with internal and external customers including daily diaries on pending transactions.* Compliance with ODEN state rules and regulations relative to cancellations and reinstatements.* Gathering and analyze underwriting information including experience reports, final audits, loss control reports, financial reports, loss runs, MVRs, and FEINs.* Ability to manage internal report updates based on manager discretion.* Participates in peer review and quality control for team(s) as needed.* Special projects, including participation of Home Office projects, as needed.Qualifications, Education & Experience:* Relevant work experience required.* Proficient in MS Office, with exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:* Strong desk management, written and verbal communication skills.* Strong comfort level with developing rapport with business partners, underwriters, agents and co-workers by phone, email or in person.* Ability to prioritize competing demands and requests to complete work within required time constraints with a high volume of work.* Demonstrate strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude.* Proficiency in using on line reference manuals and multiple electronic systems.* The ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple deadlines with ease.* Self-starter that is energized by independent learning and research.* Review and provide feedback on quality review of other team members to management based on required checklist.Covid 19 Vaccine Mandate for US Employees Only:Everest requires all individuals hired into this position to befully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination prior tocommencement of employment, unless the Company hasgranted an exemption.#LI-HybridType:RegularTime Type:Full timePrimary Location:Orange, CAAdditional Locations:Los Angeles, CAAs an effective team member, employees at Everest Insurance must champion the Everest Insurance Culture:* Collaboration: Open and transparent communication with customers and colleagues* Thoughtful Assumption of Risk: Supporting the Everest goal of carefully writing profitable business by ensuring data quality, prompt and accurate feedback to Underwriters, and operational control throughout the enterprise.* Execution: Delivering outstanding support to the organization through strong day-to-day business operations, effective project management, and careful oversight of vendors.* Humility: Caring and respectful approach to service colleagues, customers, and the community.* Leadership: By example, every day.COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for US and Canada Employees Only: Everest requires all individuals hired into this position to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination prior to commencement of employment, unless the Company has granted an exemption.Everest is an equal opportunity employer.
