Payroll Manager

As the Payroll Manager, you will manage a multifaceted payroll for our internal employees and external contractors across our four locations in LA, SF, FL and NYC.

What to Expect:

Work closely with our VP of Accounting and CFO as a strategic partner Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a weekly multi-state and multi-location payroll for 1,000+ temporary employees Oversee bi-monthly internal payroll for 150 staff in CA, SF, NYC, and MIA Calculate and process commission and bonus payments for sales and recruiting employees Handle 401(k) reporting, and audits Assist with the quarterly and year-end payroll tax process Assist with the annual W-2 process Research payroll related laws Coordinate testing on new systems, upgrades, calculation set-ups, projects, data analyses Participate in software conversions Provide backup coverage to other accounting team members handling AR and AP

Who We are Seeking:

5+ years of relevant “hands-on” working experience in related field Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance and payroll tax related issues Strong knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws, 401(k) rules and other payroll related areas.

Experience working in Intacct Accounting, UKG Kronos (Workforce Ready), Peoplenet Timecard system and/or Bullhorn systems preferred Detail Oriented and Forward-Thinking Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and very strong Excel skills required Analytical, highly organized, and detail-oriented Strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree required, bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred Certified Payroll Professional desired
