Summary
The People Coordinator provides support to the various stakeholders within the People department such as the People Partners, Payroll, L&D, Safety, and HRIS by assisting with general administration duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain employment records and files as required by federal, state or company requirements.
Records include compliance documents, reporting, and employee personnel files
Maintain and update the HRIS system with employee changes, onboarding, offboarding, etc
Assist the review of employee timecards and partner with third party vendor to process payroll
Coordinating performance review process including termination, disciplinary action and merit increases
Provide support with company recruiting efforts such as background checks and schedule of interviews
Provide training support and/or facilitation of new hire orientations, safety trainings, and others as assigned
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
Formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management
Support other functions or duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or in a related discipline
2-3 years proven experience as a People Coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Able to handle data with confidentiality
Good organization and time management skills
Advanced Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.) skills
Payroll experience with ADP WorkforceNow required
HRIS experience with systems such as SuccessFactors a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work
Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
Support and meet company/department goals and core values
Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
