Payroll Coordinator

Overview: Under general supervision, performs all necessary procedures to develop and maintain a systematic, accurate and timely employee remuneration system.

Responsible for the timely and accurate gathering of all information necessary to properly pay employees, income taxing authorities and other recipients of authorized withheld funds, and report such transactions.

Assist in the filing of all necessary governmental regulatory filings pertaining to employee compensation.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center and AHMC.

It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of SGVMC and AHMC.

The employee shall support San Gabriel Valley Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.

The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC initiatives.

Responsibilities: 1.

Gather, calculate, review, and submit the necessary information to assure a timely and accurate payroll on a bi-weekly Assist hospital supervisory personnel in identifying time and attendance errors and omissions and assist employees with payroll-related Verify, validate and enter paid time off slips into payroll system for Coordinate the implementation of payroll policy changes with all other necessary departments from the standpoint of Consistently apply all hospital payroll practices and policies to Reconcile or review reconciliation of all interfaces between the payroll system, and timekeeping Assist in the timely preparation of all payroll tax returns and in the payment of other payroll-related liabilities.Perform labor distribution for each bi-weekly Keep current with payroll and tax laws as they affect payroll 2.

Provide department managers, Finance and Accounting staff with necessary 3.

Assist in the timely processing of all payroll tax 4.

Performs other duties or special projects as Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of healthcare related payroll processing or related Working knowledge of Federal and State labor laws and regulations, including the Federal Fair Labor Standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data processing and 10-key.Must be flexible and able to work collaboratively within a teamExperience with UltiPro payroll software preferred.
