Payroll Coordinator

Job Description:

A Payroll coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, such as document, compute wages, investigate and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies.

Duties and responsibilitiesrequired but not limited to:

  • Collecting and verifying employee and timekeeping data.
  • Updating payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires.
  • Preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll runs including entering time and validating payroll prior to transmission.
  • Analysis, preparation and entry of all payroll information to produce accurate and timely payroll.
  • Maintains accurate payroll records.
  • Works with managers for timecard accuracy, issues and corrections. Ensures timecard and payroll policies are followed.
  • Generating customized payroll reports as needed.
  • Responds to employee verifications of employments (VOE).
  • Administration functions include filing, running reports, effective record keeping and communication.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Cross-trains designated back-up to administer and process payroll.
  • Documents workflow and work procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of candidate and employee information
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Bi-lingual is preferred (Spanish/English).
  • Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and, including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Employee must be internet savvy.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Workday helpful
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

    Previous aviation industry experience preferred.
