As thePayroll Processorat Mendocino Farms, you will be the primary point of contact for all payroll related inquiries.You’ll drive the continuous improvement of our payroll processes and systems while keeping pace with expected company growth.Your main areas of responsibility will be timely and accurate processing of payroll, which includes collecting, balancing, and verifying payroll data.The Payroll Processor role will report to the Sr.

Director of Human Resources in the TM Support department.Responsibilities:Enters, maintains, and/or processes the following information in the payroll system (Ceridian):Employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.Executes the bi-weekly payroll process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and SOX compliance documentation.Processes employee payroll changes (direct deposits, W4)Works directly with Accounting Department regarding bank reconciliation for the general ledger and journal entries.Ensures all documentation associated with payroll is maintained properly and confidential.Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.Provides best-in-class service to store operators, responding to and resolving any inquiries related to payroll in a timely manner.Participates in Worker’s Comp & payroll audits.Participates in special projects and proactively seeks to improve department processes.Requirements:2+ years of experience working in Human Resources and/or Accounting required.Experienced working in a restaurant/retail/hospitality environment highly desired.Bi-lingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.Proficient with or possesses the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
