Lateral Recruiting Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Lateral Recruiting Coordinator will support the Los Angeles Attorney Recruiting Manager in proactively driving all aspects of the associate recruiting efforts nationwide for one of the Firm’s key clients.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Recruitment Process Coordination:

  • Work with Los Angeles based Attorney Recruiting Manager, attorney recruiting team members nationwide, partners and firm management to draft job descriptions, obtain hiring approvals, create requisitions in our internal tracking software and post finalized roles for key client nationwide
  • Source candidates via web advertising, referrals, networking, social media, databases, etc.
  • Cultivate and maintain agency relationships, including providing prompt feedback and monitoring submissions and communications
  • Serve as an initial screen for candidate applicants
  • Contact and schedule interviews for prospective candidates and retain thorough records of all communications

Onboarding & Integration Coordination:

  • Work collaboratively with firm administrative departments and offices nationwide to execute successful onboarding, orientation, and integration efforts on the key client team
  • Track integration process and identify strategic ways to drive overall success
  • Review and analyze recruiting & integration feedback and surveys
  • Support team members in their career development, providing information and guidance on firm-wide resources and expectations

General Duties:

  • Collect and report market information and industry-related news and data from both internal and external sources
  • Contribute to team effort through communication, cooperation and coordination with all team members.
  • Maintain the practice of continuous improvement and education by reviewing industry publications and keeping current on new skills.
  • Exercise professional judgment, respect and confidentiality.
  • Lead or support other hiring, cultivation, onboarding and integration programs and initiatives, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Candidate will have at least three (3) years directly relevant lateral recruiting experience in a law firm environment as well as a strong academic record
  • Strong global mindset with experience working in a global organization
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to understand and navigate a professional services partnership with stakeholders at all levels
  • Persuasive and able to coordinate multiple constituencies and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to achieve a way forward

Salary | Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a competitive salary (85-100K) and a comprehensive benefits package.
