Essential Functions:
- Recruit and screen applicants and extend approved employment offers.
- Ensure adequate personnel records are maintained.
- Coordinate employee orientation on company benefits, policies and procedures.
- Provide follow‑up correspondence to applicants and agencies regarding employment status.
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
- Coordinate and monitor adherence to the job bid program and prepare necessary personnel reports.
- Coordinate the administration of group insurance and retirement programs to ensure uniform application and interpretation of policy and procedure.
- Monitor instructors’ certification status. Ensure proper notification to instructors and managers of renewal status.
- Research and survey salaries, compensation programs and practices/techniques used by other companies. Recommend equitable salary structures based upon the labor market.
- Assist with grievance and discrimination charges. Advise and assist staff on employee relations and benefit matters.
- Assist with manpower and organization planning and control. Research problems involving cost effective utilization of manpower.
- Assist in coordinating staff training requirements to achieve and maintain proficiency among staff in meeting student needs and contributing to the successful operation of the center.
- Participate in Career Development Services System by providing employability seminar for student assistants and career preparation students.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
- Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.
- Participate in student employability programs and activities.
- Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.
- Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
- Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Cultivate and maintain a climate on center which is free of harassment, intimidation, disrespect, and to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associates degree and one year related experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
