Human Resources Specialist

Arcutis Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of dermatological therapies.

The Human Resources Specialist performs day-to-day HR operational activities in the areas of employee onboarding and offboarding, human resource information systems (HRIS), employee benefits programs, and HR-related programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities Employee Onboarding & Offboarding 1.

Manage onboarding activities from new-hire offer acceptance to hire date, to include completing new-hire checklists, coordinating pre-boarding activities with internal stakeholders (office management, IT, payroll, stock administration, etc.), entering new-hire information into HRIS, and ensuring all required documentation is complete.

Schedule and assist in the leading of new-hire orientations.

Working with other HR staff and internal stakeholders, ensure all offboarding activities are completed in a timely and legally compliant manner.

HRIS 4.

Update and maintain employee records in HR database, ensuring timely and accurate entries.

5.

Create and run reports to be used for data analysis or ad hoc requests.

6.

Provide demographic reporting for the company, including reporting in the areas of DE&I.

7.

Maintain HR section of company intranet.

8.

Work with HR Operations staff to evaluate and select HR systems.

Employee Benefits Programs 9.

Assist HR Operations in the administration of company benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and leaves of absence.

10.

Provide support in health and safety programs, including workers’ compensation insurance.

HR Programs & Initiatives 11.

Provide support for strategic year-round HR-related programs and initiatives, including the annual performance review and compensation planning cycle, completion of salary and benefits surveys, preparing HR presentations, etc.

12.

Ensure company-wide compliance with legally required training (e.g., anti-harassment, etc.).

Education & Experience Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 or more years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
