UCan do all this and more at UCLA Health.In this key role, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership for payroll production processing.
This will include training payroll staff as well as departmental staff at the medical center while providing exceptional customer service to all of our hospitals.
You will serve as a primary resource for hospital system payroll policies requiring in-depth knowledge of our collective bargaining agreements of represented employees, and policies affecting non-represented staff.
You will: Manage/direct employees responsible for processing hospital system payroll Ensure high quality and quantity of work of the payroll department Review processes and approve payroll transactions Recommend personnel related actions Interpret and follow policies/procedures for payroll process and timekeeping Oversee payroll generation, including labor distribution records, vacation and sick leave accrual Evaluate, mentor and help develop staff Analyze and resolve unique and complex payroll issues/discrepancies Initiate measures to increase process efficiencies Ensure the accuracy and control of payroll data/reportingQualificationsWere seeking a self-directed, customer-focused leader with: Related Bachelors degree preferred Experience in payroll and knowledgeable in accounting Previous experience in hospital payroll operations highly desirable Strong service orientation Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships across all organizational levels Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesUCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine.
