nnPLBY Group is seeking an experienced Director of Payroll to join our team.
This person will work cross-functionally with our People Operations, Accounting and Legal teams and will lead the Payroll function with primary responsibility for the overall calculation, submission, accuracy.

nn nn nn nnResponsibilities:nn Ensure payroll is administered effectively, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
Evolve payroll practices to prepare for company growth and to simplify employee interactions with the function.
Oversee 401k administration.
Serve as a main point of contact for related employee questions.
Ensure compliance practices with regard to payroll data integrity.
Work with internal team and vendors to ensure HR, Benefits and Payroll changes are processed, accurate funding occurs for all accounts, tax remittance, general ledger balancing, month-end close support is completed Oversee the coordination of all phases of employee leaves-of-absence, ensuring proper payments and determining employment status.
Ensure SOX compliance with regard to Payroll controls Act as a liaison between the organization and our 3rd party partners.
Project manage special projects as needed.
Meet tight deadlines and prioritize competing workloads.
Assist with external audits.
Prepare accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures and preparing special reports for management.
nn nn nnRequirements:nn 7+ years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow.
Ability to work well with employees at all levels across the organization.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail Comfortability in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues and information.
Must have unrestricted access to work in the US.
