The league office is looking for a candidate with a strong rugby leadership background that is ready to step in and drive MLR competition to the next level.Position SummaryA Dallas, TX based position, The Human Resource Director will report directly to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to oversee all aspects of MLR rugby’s human resource department.

The Director will function as the central contact for information specific to human resource management and the administration of systems which will ensure consistency, structure, and strong resources for the employees of MLR.Duties and Responsibilities Provide Human Resource subject matter expertise to Major League Rugby.Including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, training, recruiting, workforce planning, and compliance.

Consult with employees & managers on HR policies, procedures, and programs for all HR disciplines.This requires continuous learning within Human Resources.

Responsible for a wide range of HR tasks like crafting & maintaining policies, crafting job descriptions, sourcing & recruiting talent, onboarding & training new hires, handling company COVID protocols, and like tasks.

Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.

Enhance job satisfaction by working to resolve issues promptly, be a confidential sounding board for employees, and organize team building activities.

Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive environment.

Review current policies and practices, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder an inclusive and diverse environment.

Assist with all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives Attends and participates in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements 3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Proven track record of success in corporate environment Capacity to work independently and collaboratively Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality of work or accuracy Strong problem solving and communication skills
