Manager for Hostel & Hotel in Hollywood

A full-time management position is available for a Hostel and Hotel in Hollywood. Job duties include managing all aspects of a 35 room hostel and hotel. You will be supervising the front desk, processing reservations, providing guests with exceptional customer service, bookkeeping, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, staff and more. Experience in hospitality and knowledge of the hosteling industry is a plus. This is a fun atmosphere and requires a positive, motivated, energetic person who wants to be part of a complete project.

Responsibilities Include:

* Develop employee checklists & instructions.
* Supervise and motivate staff to ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
* Set and implement budgets.
* Ensure that all hotel policies and procedures are followed.
* Oversee the maintenance of the hotel premises.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy rates and revenue.
* Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
* Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
* Respond to and manage online reviews.
* Manage OTA’s and room allocations.
* Interview and hire new employees.

The anticipated hourly pay for this position is $20-$25 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.

* 8 hour shift

* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:
* Los Angeles, CA 90028: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:
* Hotel management: 1 year (Preferred)
* Hospitality: 1 year (Required)
