Director of Production (Apparel-Private Label)

As the Production Director, you will lead and drive the execution of the Production department and partner with other departments to ensure timely execution and delivery.

This person will be accountable for ensuring that your technical strategies deliver on the company’s innovation and business goals for materials.

You are the liaison between design, sales, buyers, merchandising, technical design, planning, sourcing and the production.

The Production Director is responsible for the day-to-day efficient operation of the production department, on time delivery.

Duties included but not limited to: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· You will supervise, oversee the entire production department of Private Labels, Darc Sports and Civil Regime
· Create and implement work flow process, SOP
· Responsible for training, coaching, discipline, evaluating, hiring of your staff
· Develop strong cross functional partnerships including design, planning and merchandising driving business results
· Responsible for handling of all business initiatives and strategies
· Must have strong supply chain, negotiation and understanding of inventory, logistics
· Will partner with Planning, Logistics, Sales and Production to facilitate and expedite order urgency
· You will partner with Design and Technical Design to ensure technical packages are comprehensive and meet the product’s goals for delivery, function, cost, fit and commercial viability
· This person will communicate with sourcing offices and vendors daily (written and verbal) on pertinent design, development, delivery and/or cost related issues
· Your unique and diverse experiences and background enable you to provide differing perspectives to increase our global growth, reduce product returns and cost
· Establish and monitor time and action calendars to hit target delivery dates and negotiate costs to meet target margin goals; suggesting alternatives when relevant
· Create and maintain excel spreadsheets weekly, including line lists and inventory reports
· Responsible to communicate daily with sales teams and buyers on pertinent design, development, delivery and/or cost related issues KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook., Quickbooks, or related software
· Intermediate to advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a people person with positive attitude Understanding and knowledge of Tech Design, Textile, Tech Pack, Routing Guide required
· Outstanding organizational skills and attention to details
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills, poses a fair and equitably treatment to the direct reports
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
· Ability to handle several tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
· Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency
· Ability to manage through a problem, think and make decisions independently and proactively
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
· Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
· Ability to communicate and work well with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
· International and domestic travel may be required (up to 20%) including by air, ground and overnight and working after hours and weekend when necessary
· Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity and confidentiality Education and Experience:
· 5 years of related professional experience in the apparel industry, strong understanding and experience in private label, whole sales, e-commerce
· 5 years of supervising multiple departments of over ten staff
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 5 years of product development experience is required and product management experience with an understanding record of managing product from concept to completion
· Experience in the Action Sports / Street Wear or Apparel industry
· Must possess strong knowledge of costing, garment construction, pre-production and production coordination Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
