Field Service Technician (high travel) – Leading Hydrogen Gas generation Manufacturer – 75k Year base location differential and OT First year 90-100K Our client is a leader in Hydrogen gas Fueling stations and Hydrogen gas Production electrolyzers.

Our client has been in business since 1927 and is an industry leader in Hydrogen gas technologies.

The service team operates closely with one another and is at the forefront of hydrogen gas technologies.

The Hydrogen gas industry is experiencing a huge boom right now and with that the company has secured more business and is looking to supplement their service and install team.

This role will give you a foot in the door to a growing industry and allow the right candidate to begin a rewarding and lucrative career in the hydrogen gas and renewables industry.

In the Service Technician role you will be responsible for the final assembly, installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of hydrogen fueling stations and electrolyzers all over California.

The service techs responsibility starts with receipt of each module from the manufacturing facility and ends at decommissioning and recycling of equipment at the end of its lifecycle.

With shops in the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles area you will service regional clients and travel throughout your shops area of service.

In addition to this travel you will also have some international travel for training at the client manufacturing facility.

Our client requires employees to have flexible working hours, as our client aims to provide 24/7 on-call, 4-hour response time to its customers.

You will report directly to the Service manager.

Compensation: Each Service tech starts at the same rate to ensure equality across the team.

The starting rate is $36.06 an hour.

This annualizes out to around $75,000 a year base.

In addition to this you will receive a weekly location stipend that varies based on shop location, as well as ample overtime opportunity.

Service techs starting out can expect to work 50-70 hours a week and can expect upwards of $90,000 total comp first year.

Requirements: The candidate should possess relevant educational background and experience in installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of complex machines or plants (electrical or Mechatronics).

You have a strong, technical orientated mindset, are curious, and can quickly understand complex technical systems to find potential technical failures and quality issues.

You are structured, consistent, and clear with documentation, and follow work procedures in a safe and efficient manner.

You can work independently and in teams and are highly skilled in both written and spoken English.

Comfortable with regional and international travel Valid license Electrical, Mechatronic, HVAC, wind energy, Flammable gas experience can translate into this role.
