Responsibilities
The candidate will have a 50% appointment and will work primarily on Saturdays and Sundays though shifts during the week may be a consideration.
The candidate will assess and treat inpatients with swallowing, communication, and cognitive disorders at both UCLA hospital campuses.
The candidate will adequately document services provided to patients.
The candidate will follow applicable Medical Center, Clinic, Joint Commission, Dept of Public Health policies and procedures.
The candidate will interact with patients, their families, and Medical Center Staff in a customer friendly manner.
Qualifications
California State Speech Pathology license
Must have experience working in the inpatient hospital environment
Ability to provide services to children with communication disorders is not required but is a plus
Ability to perform MBSS and/or FEES is not required but is a plus
Excellent clinical reasoning abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Able to efficiently learn new computer and clinic systems
Excellent documentation abilities
