Responsibilities
This new grad program will consist of:
-12 weeks of classroom and online educational presentations anticipated start date November 1, 2021. Must be available to attend all scheduled dates during the 12 weeks.
-Initial follow-up competency validation and development plans
-Clinical rotation under the supervision of qualified preceptors
-Ongoing meetings with the clinical educator, preceptor and others to assure progression and advancement on the continuum from novice to competent performance.
At the completion of the program, the participants will be able to:
-Successfully handle adult patient assignments
-Demonstrate a complete physical and psychosocial assessment on a patient
-Take appropriate problem-solving actions when confronted with a clinical or administrative dilemma
-Work cooperatively and effectively with physicians, family members and other members of the healthcare team.
-Our program is facilitated by nurse experts with special emphasis on: clinical skills, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, patient safety, and professional career development.
Program Requirements (no exceptions):
- Graduated of a RN program within the last year.
- No previous acute experience
- Valid unrestricted RN licensed issued by the state of California (must have at the time of application)
- BLS – Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider AHA
