– Critical Care RN Place of Performance: Seattle, WA A-Team Solutions is seeking an Critical Care RN for a minimum 13 week assignment at the VA in Seattle, WA.

The incumbent practices as an RN in the intensive care unit specializing predominantly in cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, neurological diseases.

coronary occlusion, vascular occlusion, subdural hematomas and cancer.

The population ranges from adult to geriatric.

The geriatric patient population is likely to present with several co-morbid medical conditions, change in mental status, and/or functional decline.

The RN is accountable for defined groups of patients on his/her shift.

Job Duties: The RN is accountable for a defined group of patients for the entire episode of care and includes post-discharge follow up.

The RN works with LPN/NA support staff for a defined group of patients.

80 hour pay period (two weeks) day, evening, or night shifts depending on work area to include weekends.

Shifts vary by location to include 8 hour, 9 hour, 10, hour or 12 hour.

Tours of Duty or a combination of shifts to meet 80 hours/pay period.

Requirements: Shall be licensed in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.The Contract Nurse (s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be graduates of a school of nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses.

Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

RN with documentation of having passed a critical care course or present evidence of Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification Must be proficient in EKG monitoring, management of patients on the ventilator, patients with multiple invasive lines to monitor physiologic values, to include the pulmonary artery catheter with interpretation of measures, interpret critical lab values, recognize signs and symptoms of deteriorating conditions, etc.

At least two years recent (within the past 12 months) critical care practice in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
