Position Summary
Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) Outpatient Infusion Oncology Services is looking for an exceptional RN to work with a collaborative, supportive team in a high-volume outpatient setting. Our team is a diverse group committed to compassionate and comprehensive care of each patient during their infusion or cancer treatment. To provide comprehensive care to our patients, our Infusion Center encompasses multiple treatment modalities including procedural care, phlebotomy/lab draws, chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV antibiotics and iron infusions to name a few.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented with strong assessment and critical thinking skills, and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members, patients, and visitors. The infusion department consists of an oncology infusion room with 28 chairs and two private rooms, a general infusion room with 13 chairs and 4 private rooms. A Fast track room with 4 infusion chairs is used for short infusions, labs and injections. Infusion Services is located on the 3rd floor of the Heiman Cancer Center.
The office hours are Monday to Friday 0800 to 1730, Weekends 0800- 1730.
As an RN in the Outpatient Infusion Oncology Unit, you will have the opportunity to:
- Care for a variety of patients
- Collaborate with fellow members of the team including, Pharmacy, CNAs, nurse navigators, dieticians, social workers and billing office staff
- Work towards becoming an oncology certified nurse (OCN) or a certified nurse infusion (CRNI)
- Be part of the new state-of-the-art Heimann Cancer Center
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Oncology and/or Infusion experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications
- RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing is required (will consider candidates with RN licensure from out of state – but Oregon license required by start date)
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
- Successful completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certificate (ONS) within 2 years of completing ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy course required
Preferred Certifications
- OCN: Oncology Certified Nurse
- CRNI: Certified RN Infusion
- CHPN: Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse
