Accura HealthCare has an opportunity to add a Regional Clinical Quality Specialist (Nurse Consultant) to our team.
With a high focus on Clinical Quality and Development of Nursing teams in assigned facilities, our Regional Clinical Nurse Specialist (Nurse Consultant) will support communities in Minnesota (Sauk Rapids, Inver Grove Heights, Waite Park, Grand Meadow and Mabel) and Iowa (Shell Rock).This is a field position, predominantly on the road, traveling to our various locations providing high level clinical leadership support.
MDS experience is beneficial, especially if you have knowledge and understanding of PDPM but, again, this position has an emphasis on clinical quality.
You would be part of the Accura HealthCare Resource Center and will predominantly work in the field, onsite at the facilities within this region.
The position involves frequent travel with overnight travel required.
Given the frequent travel, a vehicle is included as part of the compensation package for this role.
CURRENT NEEDS: Full-time; on-call with overnight travel requiredJob Summary:This position is responsible for providing clinical quality support to the Directors of Nursing and clinical teams at each community.
This position applies nursing knowledge and experience in long-term care to provide advice and guidance on clinical matters, train and educate, assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures, provide systems reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and to ensure effective clinical practices.
Our ideal candidate has experience leading quality, Quality Measures (QM), improving star ratings (such as achieving 5 star status), Requirements of Participation (ROPs), antibiotic stewardship, Infection Preventionist and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).The Regional Clinical Quality Specialist (Nurse Consultant) reports directly to the VP of Clinical Quality and plays a key role in advancing the Accura mission, “to be partners in care and family for life” and will be expected to provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating and upholding our values of trust, integrity, accountability, commitment, and kindness.Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of current experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) environment 2 years of clinical leadership experience in LTC; DON experience required Current RN license Ability to travel daily with some overnight travel required ROPs, QM and QAPI experienceDesired Qualities: MDS experience preferred Strong facilitation/training skills with the ability to adapt training style to the level of the learner Emphasis on Person Centered Care with exceptional customer service skills Strong LTC compliance knowledge Team-oriented but also self-driven with ability to work independently Knowledge of human resource functions related to staffing assignments, workflow, supervision and evaluationAccura HealthCare embraces a unique upside-down culture, putting residents and direct-care staff at the top level of the organization.
