Pharmacy Technician

Overview: Schedule: Pharmacy Operating hours are from 0700
– 1700, Monday through Friday.

Routine Duty hours will be an 8 hour work period such as 0730-1630 or 0800-1700 with an allotted uncompensated 1 hour lunch break.

Pay rate:$16.84/hr Benefits: PTO, sick and holiday leave, Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Short Term disabilityOptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching with employee participation in 401(k) plan Responsibilities: Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physicians requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock reports.

Qualifications: Certification: Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program)or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.Experience: One year of full-time experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation within the last 36 months.AKAHI ASSOCIATES LLCAKAHI Associates is a premier provider of healthcare workers to various military treatment facilities across the United States.
