The Medical Staff Coordinator I is a professional administrative assistant who coordinates medical staff activities, performs secretarial and appropriate executive functions, assists the Director and other Medical Staff Coordinators in medical staff activities, and acts as a liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff and administration within the parameters established by the Director.
Required Experience
- One (1) year college or specialized training in the provision of medical staff services.
- Two (2) years of experience in Medical Staff Services in a medium to large size medical center required.
- Knowledge of medical staff credentialing, recording and preparation of meeting minutes, Joint Commission and Title XXII, and the CMA.
- Experience working with medical staff leaders in carrying out functions of departments/committees.
