MEDICAL BILLING CLERK AppleOne is currently working with several clients in the Shreveport/Bossier CIty area that are looking for Medical Billers entry level with education to more knowledgeable candidates with varying areas of billing including: Orthopedic, Ambulatory, SNF, Surgical & Hospitalizations.
Basic coding knowledge and ability to research codes will be required.
Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or TriCare.
Experience with UB04’s 1500’s and AHT (American Health Tech) is helpful.
Primary experience is working with insurance companies to verify status of claims, follow up on information needed to get claims processed, and/or track payments.
Proofreading, attention to detail, open to constructive feedback, trainable and can work well alone but within group dynamics.
Qualifications for consideration: Education in a related field and 2 years in billing, collections and reimbursement.
Proven history of getting results with follow up to claims not just logging time will be required.
Stable work history is helpful.
