Wave Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Laser Center is an aggressively growing Aesthetic Clinic, specializing in advanced anti-aging techniques, plastic surgery, and non-invasive cosmetic treatments. Led by our founder, Dr. Peter Lee, a trainer/instructor to fellow plastic surgeons both nationally and internationally, we currently have 4 surgeons and operate 5 locations in California.
We are looking to add a Medical Biller/Scheduler to provide support to the Pain Management division of our practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Answer and screen telephone calls in a courteous manner, and record messages for physician and other personnel.
- Coordinate and schedule procedures and follow-up appointments as designated by physician according to established policies and procedures with a high level of attention to detail.
- Interact with patients, physicians, and other staff within the clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.
- Coordinate processes and timing as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
- Obtain authorization for procedure from patient’s insurance company/law firm.
- Provide patient with generic preoperative information and advice patients of preoperative surgical and financial requirements.
- Submit patient clinical and financial information to facility assuring appropriate medical records release, if needed. Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
- Obtain accurate information from patients and ensure all forms are complete.
- File records in appropriate sections of patient electronic charts and keep patient charts in proper order.
- Maintain files and patient records in a confidential manner.
- Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to patient or third party institutions.
- Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account.
- Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.
?Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing & scheduling
- Proven working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Prior experience in Pain Management
- Bilingual English/Korean or English/Spanish is highly preferred
