Job DescriptionMedical Office Assistant Medical Office Assistant Duties: Greet patients and other guests, and is responsible for maintaining and enhancing patient relations.

Greet and directs patients to exam rooms, assists and prepares patients as necessary for examination.

Obtaining weight, height, blood pressure, and vital signs.

Accurately and legibly records the above information as well as stated reason for visit, recent medical problems or concerns and other information as required by clinical area while Ensures that patient flow is smooth and uninterrupted with an emphasis on assisting the providers to move through their schedule in a timely manner.

Responsible for prompt and consistent communication to nursing staff and providers as it relates to patient flow, concerns and status.

May assist in procedures or chaperone clinical exam as requested or required.

Prepare exam rooms for patients before and during the patient care day.

Maintains a clean and safe environment with strict adherence to universal precautions.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED MA/ CNA vocational/technical training Prior experience preferred Phlebotomy certification desirable CPR Certification
