The EMT/Paramedic is a critical position within the Med-eScreen construction team.

This individual works on a construction project and closely aligns with the client.

This is a customer facing position and supports the project team to successfully administer onsite medical services for the construction jobsite.

This position will support the New York, NY area.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Experienced pre-hospital provider for an assigned project Administration of first aid and level-appropriate care according to State, Local and National guidelines Proper assessment of injuries and the coordination for appropriate transportation to medical facilities Detailed documentation of medical and safety related incidents Actively monitor and provide case management of all work-related injuries Daily administration of site required drug and alcohol testing program Provide project team with administrative support, to include: orientation for new workers Attend weekly project safety meetings Effective communication with Safety Managers, EMS Personnel, and Offsite Occupational Health Clinic Daily communication with management Coordination with project Safety Manager regarding safety related duties and inspections Additional duties as directed by Med-eScreen management or client Flexible schedule, extended hours to include weekends EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Required High school diploma or GED equivalent Current CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent credential State Certification for EMT or Paramedic or National EMT certification, (NREMT) 911 Emergency Services experience or triage experience At least 2 years of experience working as an EMT Preferred 1st Responder experience Experience in construction, OSHA, or worker’s compensation Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
