Employee Health Nurse

Will responsible for promoting, monitoring, and documenting employee compliance with designated aspects of state, federal and regulatory infection control/work safety requirements. Also, he/she is responsible for health services and health education for hospital employees, including initial and annual physicals assessments, work injuries and immunizations.

Must have a current and valid CA LVN license. BLS required. Previous employee health experience in hospital setting a must. Willing to work flexible hours. Proficient in computer, good inter-personal and organizational skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate resolution of employee health/infection control issues with the infection control practitioner
  • Promoting employee health through preventative measures
  • Maintain employee health records and updates
  • Develop staff on infection control
  • Developing and executing infection Control and employee health services programs
  • Participate in employee safety and infection prevention committees
  • Maintain employee health and workers compensation policies
  • Provide consultation regarding employee health related issues such as workers’ compensation and infection control
  • Enabling compliance with applicable employee health, safety, and infection control requirements and standards
  • Optimize employee health and well-being by providing health educational tools, lifestyle health counseling and health promotion initiatives
  • Provide consultation regarding workers’ compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues
  • Entering employee health data into a computer database
  • Report employee health activities and trends to the hospital safety committee and the infection control committee
  • Develop, plans and assure annual employee health
  • Developing ambulatory infection control standards including training materials
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee health information
