As the Clinical Director at Stuart House, you will oversee all clinical and administrative management of the therapy program.
Your areas of responsibility will include:
Direct patient care Clinical supervision, hiring, training and performance evaluation of therapists Program development and quality of therapy services Compliance with program, hospital and legal requirements Community outreach and training Implementation of monthly in-service trainings
We are seeking a deeply-empathetic, trauma informed Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with:
Master’s degree in social work or doctorate in clinical psychology Seven or more years of experience in child/family treatment and sexual abuse/trauma At least five years of supervisory experience in the child abuse field Ability to articulate a compelling and inspired vision for the program Advanced knowledge of supervisory principles/practices Ability to recognize, analyze and creatively resolve unexpected problems Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to foster a positive, empowering and collaborative working culture Ability to promote cultural responsiveness, racial equity and inclusion Current knowledge of evidenced based, trauma-informed assessment and therapeutic interventions for victims of child sexual abuse In-depth understanding of dynamics and effects of child sexual abuse, responses to trauma, child development, family systems theory, and play therapy theory Advanced knowledge of effective crisis intervention and DSM 5 mental health diagnostic criteria Thorough understanding of the traumatic impact of racism and discrimination Advanced competence in assessing suicidality and homicidality Ability to implement appropriate assessment and interventions to manage high-risk behaviors in clients Competence in assessing/reporting potential child, elder and domestic abuse Advanced knowledge of relevant medical, legal, and public policy issues Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of police, prosecutors, DCFS, and medical personnel in child abuse cases Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills
