Clinical Director

Bridges to Recovery is hiring a Clinical Director II for our Los Angeles locations in Holmby Hills and Beverly Hills.

$2,500 sign-on bonus.

* Must be able to work all shifts, to include overnight & weekends.*

The Clinical Director II is responsible for ensuring a high level of therapeutic care to the residents and families of the facility. The Clinical Director provides supervision to all therapists, psychiatrists, adjunctive therapists, and all direct care clinical staff and is responsible for the clinical programming and treatment milieu in alignment with the CBH System of Care. The Clinical Director works collaboratively with the contracted medical team to provide a varied, integrated, and effective treatment milieu. The Clinical Director is responsible for the management and quality assurance of all clinical services provided by the facility, including the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of all clinical staff, the Client Surveys/NPS outcomes, and Vista Research Group outcomes. The Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining adherence to all Joint Commission, licensing, and regulatory standards within the clinical program. The Clinical Director works closely with the Executive Director relating to the program and clinical services provided. The Clinical Director is the leader of the Clinical Team as well as a member of the facility Management Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required Licensed PhD or PsyD.

• Ten (10) years of clinical care experience in a psychiatric/mental health treatment, preferably in a residential setting.

• Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.

• Preferred candidates should have sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and milieu therapy.

• Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs.

• Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.

• Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in schedule required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hiring, evaluation, training, disciplinary actions and termination of all clinical staff.

• Proficiency in integrated, evidence-based individual and group treatment modalities for behavioral health clients in a residential setting.

• Provides direct client care services and groups as necessary due to census or program and/or client considerations.

• Responsible for the quality of clinical treatment for each client and their family in accordance with the CBH system of care including client surveys, the NPS scores, and for managing and evolving the clinical program based on the outcomes as reported through Vista Research Group.

• Defines, implements, and periodically reviews the philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards for the residential program.

• Responsible for program development and planning in response to patient and agency needs.

• Oversees regular program monitoring and evaluation efforts, including weekly and monthly chart auditing and signatures on required chart documents.

• Provide coaching and professional development to all staff, with particular attention to core competency levels and integration of services between the Clinical team and direct care/milieu support staff and Clinical Contractors.

• Is the point person for the electronic health record and regularly completes audits to ensure accuracy and timely documentation.

• Supervise Primary Therapists, Somatic/EMDR Therapists, and contracted clinical service providers.

• Knowledgeable of state licensing and The Joint Commission requirements and regularly monitors for compliance within the regulations.

• Professionally, ethically, and compassionately relates to clients, families, referral sources and staff at all times. Model appropriate interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and boundaries.

• Attend and participate in assigned and required training, supervision, and weekly meetings.

• Ability to demonstrate awareness and respect for cultural, lifestyle, age, gender, and sexual orientation diversities of clients and staff; apply knowledge of age, gender, and multi-cultural counseling skills.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Obtain services to support clinical objectives
  • Ensure students complete clinical orientation requirements and attend clinical agency specific orientation prior to all clinical rotations
  • Manage clinical operations within budget constraints
