The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric
Cardiology, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pediatric Cardiology.
This position is in the subspecialty area of Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, with opportunities to participate in associated areas of non-invasive imaging, exercise testing, pulmonary hypertension or preventative cardiology, depending on training and experience.
Interest in clinical and translational research will be considered.
The position is a full-time appointment at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles main campus.
The role will involve both inpatient service, and outpatient consultative cardiology with an emphasis on the area of subspecialty.
The successful candidate will join 3 Board-certified colleagues in providing care to a tertiary care population of patients, in an academic teaching hospital environment.
The candidate must have completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at an ACGME accredited training program, and be either Pediatric Cardiology Board-certified or Board-eligible.
Additional fellowship training at an accredited cardiac transplant program is a requirement.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, research, education or other areas of expertise will be an advantage.
Interest in leadership development will be considered.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is part of the Heart Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and is a center of excellence in all areas of pediatric cardiac care, and is ranked no.
3 in the nation by US News and World Report, undertaking over 800 surgical procedures per year and over 10,000 patient visits.
