Summary of Job Qualifications;
AGE: Must be at least 21 years of age
EDUCATION: Possess a U.S. High School Diploma or U.S. General Education Development Credential (G.E.D.) or a California High School Proficiency Certificate or have attained a two-year or four-year degree from the U.S. accredited college or university.
BACKGROUND: Must pass a Department of Justice (D.O.J.) background investigation. A history of ethical and moral behavior is paramount.
SHIFTS: Will have to work mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Must be physically and mentally capable of successfully attending and participating in all defensive tactics training to include, but not limited to, verbal confrontations, de-escalation of force, Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C.) Spray, Baton, TASER, and Firearms. Must be able to physically restrain or detain individual(s) in the event of a physical confrontation.
Military veteran and Law Enforcement friendly
Must Possess a Valid CA Driver License
Must Possess a Valid BSIS Guard Card
A valid BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit desired
If you don’t possess the required duty weapon at the time of the hiring process, you will have three (3) months to purchase the appropriate duty weapon.
Application Process;
In-Person Interview: All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to conduct a board-type, In-Person Interview.
Orientation and Department of Justice Background Check: All applicants who have passed both In-Person Interview will be required to attend Orientation and complete a Department of Justice (D.O.J.) background check. Failure of the D.O.J. background check may cause delay or disqualification from the Basic Training Program.
