Were one global team 47,000 strong driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesWork as the Civil Engineer Discipline Lead on large flood control projects, including levees, dams, grading, drainage, pipeline and collection stormwater facility design, tunnel design, transportation, and construction administration.Responsible for the preparation and successful completion of construction package deliverables (design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analysis, technical memoranda, and design documentation reports).Produce or oversee the production of the BIM and comprehensive set of plans to high standards of quality using current computer software, including OpenRoads and Civil 3D.Prepare technical specifications.Utilize standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while gaining understanding of advanced methodsCoordinates multi-discipline design efforts; work closely with the project team, including civil, geotechnical, H&H engineers, structural engineers, and surveyors to provide value to each projectAnalyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projectsReview work produced by others to ensure timely and accurate results.Ensure compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer.Support project managers in execution of all types of civil design projectsSupport client-related activities, including marketing and proposal developmentSenior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for teamProvides specialized technical input to studies and designs for staff’s specific area of expertise.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.Minimum RequirementsBA/BS 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Engineering License required, as well as the ability to obtain PE license in 6 months in both Texas and Louisiana.Preferred QualificationsMust have strong technical progression within geotechnical engineeringProficient in GeoStudio, UTexas4, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, Plaxis, FLAC, Settle3D, and MathCADExpertise with and ability to make informed decisions regarding drilling, field investigations, laboratory testing, advanced material characterization, seepage analysis, slope stability analysis, settlement, and construction of dams, levees, channel improvements, and other heavy earthwork projects.Expertise in various construction techniques and phasing to help develop unique, cost effective solutions for our clients.Ability to travel 10% or more, as neededAbility to support marketing effort in pursuing alternative delivery work with a focus on geotechnical engineeringA positive attitude that motivates the project team.Ability to work on fast paced complex projectsAbility to work on multiple ongoing projects at the same timeWilling to work overtime if needed to complete a task to meet the clients schedule or requestNote that our team mostly works remotely, so you must have very strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team across the nation and the world.
