We are currently seeking a Managing Architectural Engineer for our Buildings & Structures Practice in Los Angeles, CA.
In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for performing tasks and executing projects related to failures in the built environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects and a team of consultants during investigations
- Inspection, analysis and determination of root causes of building performance failures
- Conducting analytical and computer problem solving
- Performing field investigations and diagnostic surveys
- Assignment will require the ability to gather information from and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business and industry
You will have the following background and qualifications
- California Architectural License or in the process of obtaining a California Architectural License
- Masters or Ph.D.
in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
- Background in the investigation of building failures and/or diagnostic testing of building components
- Excellent and creative problem-solving ability
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented in taking field notes and in drafting Architectural details
- Ability to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
