Overview Allied Reliability is currently looking for a Maintenance Tech Electrician to work in the Edgewood, MD area.
The Maintenance Tech Electrician will install and repairs electrical systems, i.e.
AC motors drives, programmable controllers, various process related electrical and electronic controls.
Must be familiar with 480 volt 3 phase power distribution and AC/DC circuits.
Responsibilities Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as a part of general maintenance Listens for unusual sounds for machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operations with supervisors or other maintenance works in diagnosing and repairing machine Must be able to troubleshoot production machines.
Retro fitting machines as needed Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts Troubleshoots, repairs and programs all types of control circuitry from relay logic to programmable logic Must have common troubleshooting ability without the use of schematic diagrams Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain conduit systems and related electrical equipment Install, repair, and/or replace control circuitry up to 480 volts Install, repair and/or replace different manufactures and types of variable frequency drives Troubleshoot electrical components from basic receptacle wiring to intricate control circuitry to include: transformers, limit switches, hoists, variable frequency drives, controllers, relays, sensors and all other associated electrical equipment Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
