If you have a bias for action and are driven to forge new ground-breaking and dynamic digital apps, platforms and services by working with cool, new technologies, you belong in Danaher Digital!nn nnPosition Descriptionnn nnYou will partner across the Danaher Operating Companies to define, architect, develop and deploy new data and ML/DL platform solutions (data, analytics and/or IoT).nn nnYou will become a trusted technology adviser to our OPCO’s and customers, and will work with their sales, business development, solution architects, and service teams to drive adoption and revenue.nn nnWe have a passion for inspiring, motivating, educating, designing, and building cloud-based data/AI platforms for a diverse and exciting set of markets ranging from life sciences to health care diagnostics to water to environmental sciences and to industrials and you will have great fun doing it and be great fun to work with.nn nnWe are open to remote worknn nnRoles and Responsibilitiesnn nnLead, architect, design and develop secure, scalable, high-performance and reliable and cost effective -big data and analytics platform software and servicesnn nnTranslate big data and AI customer requirements into architectural models that will operate at large scale and high performance and guide customers on how to run these architectural modelsnn nnDefine, deploy and advance processes for: API-first principles, microservices, SDLC/MDLC(model development life cycle), CI/CD, quality, monitoring, security, extensibility and maintainability of big data and analytics platform software and servicesnn nnDefine templates and process for the design and analysis of data models, data flows, and integration patterns for structural deficiencies/soundness to build a robust and complete future state model.nn nnLead by example to review code, look for design breaches, provide meaningful and relevant feedback to developers, stay up-to-date with system changesnn nnComfortably present and acquire consensus using multiple methods: Written diagrams and text, in-person meetings, in-person and remote presentations to both technical or semi-technical audiencesnn nnProvide technical leadership to software developers, data scientists/engineers, and product owners/managers through brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and retrospectives.nn nnLead and mentor Danaher Digitals team members in best practices, processes and technologies in Data/AI platformsnn nnTechnical Qualificationsnn nnBachelors or Masters in computer engineering, computer science or related subject area.nn nn8+ years of experience in architecting and building Big Data and ML products or platforms software in a software product development organization.nn nn7+ proficiency in one or more modern programming languages like Java, Python or Scala or Sparknn nn5+ years of hands-on experience in productionizing and deploying Big Data platforms and applications.
Hands-on experience working with: Relational/SQL, distributed columnar data stores/NoSQL databases (MongoDB or Cassandra), graph databases, timeseries databases, HDFS, HBase, Map Reduce, NiFi, Spark streaming, Kafka, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Oozie, Avro, and morenn nn5+ years of experience in performance tuning, table partitioning and indexing, process threading, bucketing, UDF and UDAF, all while optimizing costs.nn nn5+ years of experience on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, including container platforms (Dockets/Kubernetes).
