Summary
ONeil Global Advisors (OGA) located in the Silicon Beach area of West Los Angeles, is seeking an ‘Infrastructure Software Developer II’ to focus on the development, analysis, and optimization of execution strategies.
As a member of our Software Engineering team, you will be joining a small and high-impact team contributing to the research & development of algorithmic execution strategies across the firms global asset management business.
You will interact closely with other members of the Software Engineering team located in the US, India, and China that are implementing various equity mandates.
You will work on improving and enhancing the firms execution capabilities and trading strategies across all the markets that we cover.
The ideal candidate will have a background in quantitative execution strategies and the software systems that support these strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, analyze, and optimize execution algorithms for global equity markets
Conduct primary research on the intraday trading signals for equities
Develop predictive medium-term and short-term equity price models
Daily support for algorithmic investment strategies that use algorithmic execution
Assists projects to develop custom Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and Market Impact studies
Work with our Decision Support team to build custom trading analytics / tools
Work with our Capital Markets team to build trading infrastructure software components
Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications & Requirements
(3) + working years of professional software development experience required
Masters degree in STEM or Finance or a Bachelors degree
Strong coding experience in Python
Working knowledge of relational databases
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Financial market knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with OMS, EMS, and Portfolio Management Systems is a plus
Familiarity with FIX protocol is a plus
Excellent writing and presentation skills required
Knowledge of Time Series databases, Data Lakes, Docker, AWS EKS (Kubernetes), Airflow will be pluses, but not required
Working Conditions
This is fully remote role.
You will have the option to continue working from home or working from our offices in New York, Boston, or Los Angeles.
Moderate travel.
