We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer/Associate for our Buildings & Structures Practice in Los Angeles, CA.
In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for performing tasks and executing projects related to failures in the built environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing field investigations, analyses, and determination of root causes of structural, architectural, and building performance failures
- Conducting analytical and computer problem solving
- Preparing technical reports and presentations
- Gathering information from and conveyingtechnical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry
- Continued professional development towards establishing professional expertise
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A Ph.D.in Civil/Structural Engineering is strongly preferred.
M.S.
degree in Civil/Structural Engineering will be considered with significant, relevant work experience
- A P.E.
license or the ability to become licensed within two years in the State of California
- Excellent and creative problem-solving ability
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Previous hands-on experience in the construction industry or analysis, inspection, and evaluation of failures is a plus
