The Oklahoma City Bombers team is seeking a Level 5 Electrical Architect Design Engineer to be located in any of the following locations: Oklahoma City, OKAlbuquerque, NMEl Segundo, CAHouston, TXHuntsville, ALMesa, AZPhiladelphia, PASaint Louis, MOEverett, WA The candidate will mentor and coach lesser experienced engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of engineers.

The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military B-52 Bomber Aircraft on the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and other diverse projects.

Main area of focus will be to design the electrical architecture of the B-52 CERP program and to ensure compliance to Boeing electrical requirements.

Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn aircraft electrical power system design on the various platforms.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop new solutions, help grow and mentor the next generation of engineers, and guide the candidates career towards the submittal of a candidacy for a position in the Technical Fellowship.Get overview of each system and engage with each group/team about risks/issues.

Position Responsibilities:Review BORIS risks with each group and evaluate robustness of solution and implementation plan.If new risks surface, pull together appropriate people and put a plan together.

Follow up on these issues regularly, particularly where more than one group is affected.Ensure robust ICDs for system-to-system interfaces.Ensure teams are coordinating the ARINC 429 message protocol and communicating with all member systems.

Likely need a weekly Users Group meeting.Adjudicate airplane-level electrical issues, as required.Applies advanced job principles, theories, and concepts.

Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts as well as advanced job practices, techniques, and standards.Recognized as a job expert within the company.Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.Initiates assignments and determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than formal review by a superior.Develops advanced technical ideas and guides their development into final product.

Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect the organization’s technological capability and image.Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and programs.

Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies.Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects.Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.Works with other to develop program test strategies.Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership.Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.Makes recommendations for technology investments.Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.Works under consultative mentorship.Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments.Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment.The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry required3 or more years of experience in all aspects of electrical systems including load analysis, schematics, supplier integration, component source selection, component qualification (MIL-STD-704, etc.), system troubleshooting, and electrical lab work14 or more years’ related work experience in Electrical Architect DesignWillingness to travel at least 10% of the time as required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active U.S.

Security ClearanceABET accreditation is preferredPrevious experience in the defense or aerospace industryPrevious experience as an Electrical Architect Design Engineer Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
